Picturedrome – Holmfirth…..

A great big thank you to all the staff at the Citadel and Islington Assembly who were all, without exception, helpful, pleasant and true professionals they were both very enjoyable gigs.  Also thanks to everyone who came down and were so enthusiastic – we so enjoyed both nightsimage

Islington was made extra special as we had the amazing BJ Cole onstage for a couple of songs – a true gentleman and amazing musician!

  1. Great band performance as usual at Holmfirth but unsure about the venue
    Great sound mix as usual
    Great view
    Timothy Taylor’s on draft

Bar area lit and the venue is simply not dark enough

far too many idiots who can’t shut up and how did Olivia manage to keep calm with the dicks talking all the way through the Rain Song.

early curfew and band having to finish at 11.00

What is it with the seats at the front, I know we are not getting any younger but it kills the atmosphere.

    • Yes, a great gig and 11.00 pm not a bad time to finish but a shame the band didn’t either play Heroes as an encore or make it clear that there was not going to be an encore. As it was I was expecting at least one more song but it never happened.

Regarding the venue I know what you mean about the seats but it did mean I could stand just behind them and get an uninterrupted view and great sound.

Totally agree about the people talking throughout the set but, in my experience that happens whenever there is a bar within the main room. I still don’t understand why people pay upwards of £15 for a band and then talk through the set, mad.

Finally the Picturedrome’s less than 10 minutes drive from home, so definitely a great venue!
