Posted in News on March 31, 2017 by manewss
For those of you planning to come to any of the forthcoming shows, you may notice that there is an extra person on stage (albeit a very small one).  Bryan and Olivia are delighted to share the news that they are expecting a baby later this summer.
Rest assured all shows will go ahead as planned and we look forward to seeing you out on the road again.

The Limited edition of Sight of Day has arrived and we’ve been frantically packing and shipping them (special thanks to Jean and Andy who worked so hard).  All the pre-orders have been sent so it’s down to the post office now!

Sight of Day… sight….

Posted in News on January 22, 2017 by manewss

Hello everybody and a glorious new year to you all

Well, I am very proud to announce that ‘Sight of Day – the Limited edition’ is finished, done, in the bag!  I would like to thank you for your patience and support, it’s been a long road but nevertheless, a very worthwhile one.  I hope you think so too.

After the dark subject matter of Dressed in Voices, we attempted to make Sight of Day a little more cheerful in places, for our own sanity as much as anything (ha!).  I wouldn’t be too optimistic though, this is Mostly Autumn after all.

I don’t want to say too much about the content, but there are some big songs on there, if you like that sort of thing.  Anyway, it’s just gone to be manufactured so hopefully you will get it in a couple of weeks or so,  we’ll keep you updated.

Hope to see you soon, let us know what you think of it.

Well, another year has gone by in a minute! It’s been a great one for us, with so many highlights. We’re really looking forward to 2017 and the release of Sight of Day. We’re working very hard to get it finished for January – can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

Anyway – as usual, we really can’t thank you all enough for your faith in us and your unwavering support throughout the year – you are AMAZING!! It just remains for us to wish you all a

VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and we hope 2017 brings you all you could wish for.

On the road again……..

Posted in News on November 17, 2016 by manewss

Firstly – thank you all for the wonderful response we’ve had to the pre-order for the new album.  It never ceases to amaze and humble us.
From the bottom of our hearts – again – Thank you

Recording the new album Sight of Day is going really well and we’re very excited about it! It’s going to be a very busy time, but we’re really looking forward to getting back out on the road next weekend.  Kicking off with The Citadel in St Helens – usually a fantastic gig. Then the Waterfront Norwich on Sunday – hope to see you there if you’re around that part of the world (or even if you’re not – it’s a great place!)

Then on Friday 2nd December we have our wonderful time in Belgium (Spirit of 66)
and Saturday 3rd December it’s De Boerderij in Zoetermeer, NL and for these two shows we are happy to announce special guest Chris Backhouse with his amazing saxophone will be joining us.  We’ll also be doing a set of ‘songs which have inspired the band’ (including a little Pink Floyd!) as well as classic Mostly Autumn of course.

There are also a (very) few tickets left for the

Tuesday 13th December 2016

Music by Mostly Autumn and a bit of Christmas jollity at The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, North York Moors YO62 7LQ

It’s been a long time coming and we’re so excited to be back at the Lion Inn for what will be an amazing night of Mostly Autumn and CHRISTMAS – It will also be an opportunity to socialise with the band in their favourite pub and spiritual home after the gig.

For those of you who don’t know, The Lion Inn is a remote 16th Century inn at the highest point of the North York Moors. It is a very special place for Bryan and the band and their close connection goes back many, many years. For more information visit the website at where you will also find links to the Blakey Music Facebook page.

The concert room is very intimate so tickets for Mostly Autumn are limited – Price – £20

Tickets are only available on a first-come-first-served basis by e mailing Paul at  with details of how many tickets you require. Please title your email “Mostly Christmas” and Paul will get back to you with details of how to pay etc.

(Unfortunately we can’t sell tickets by phone so please don’t phone the Lion Inn)

Free camping in tents or camper vans (sorry, no caravans)

Thanks so much to Paul for bringing back Blakey music  which regularly hosts some great bands and is well worth looking into.

Looking forward to seeing you there.
