On the road again……..

Posted in News on November 17, 2016 by manewss

Firstly – thank you all for the wonderful response we’ve had to the pre-order for the new album.  It never ceases to amaze and humble us.
From the bottom of our hearts – again – Thank you

Recording the new album Sight of Day is going really well and we’re very excited about it! It’s going to be a very busy time, but we’re really looking forward to getting back out on the road next weekend.  Kicking off with The Citadel in St Helens – usually a fantastic gig. Then the Waterfront Norwich on Sunday – hope to see you there if you’re around that part of the world (or even if you’re not – it’s a great place!)

Then on Friday 2nd December we have our wonderful time in Belgium (Spirit of 66)
and Saturday 3rd December it’s De Boerderij in Zoetermeer, NL and for these two shows we are happy to announce special guest Chris Backhouse with his amazing saxophone will be joining us.  We’ll also be doing a set of ‘songs which have inspired the band’ (including a little Pink Floyd!) as well as classic Mostly Autumn of course.

There are also a (very) few tickets left for the

It’s been a long time coming and we’re so excited to be back at the Lion Inn for what will be an amazing night of Mostly Autumn and CHRISTMAS – It will also be an opportunity to socialise with the band in their favourite pub and spiritual home after the gig.

For those of you who don’t know, The Lion Inn is a remote 16th Century inn at the highest point of the North York Moors. It is a very special place for Bryan and the band and their close connection goes back many, many years. For more information visit the website at www.lionblakey.co.uk where you will also find links to the Blakey Music Facebook page.

The concert room is very intimate so tickets for Mostly Autumn are limited – Price – £20

Tickets are only available on a first-come-first-served basis by e mailing Paul at  info@lionblakey.co.uk  with details of how many tickets you require. Please title your email “Mostly Christmas” and Paul will get back to you with details of how to pay etc.

(Unfortunately we can’t sell tickets by phone so please don’t phone the Lion Inn)

Free camping in tents or camper vans (sorry, no caravans)

Thanks so much to Paul for bringing back Blakey music  which regularly hosts some great bands and is well worth looking into.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

The Assembly – Leamington…..

Posted in News on September 21, 2016 by manewss

Well, it’s been a lovely summer and nearly time for Mostly Autumn to be back in action.  We have a very special gig coming up at The Assembly, Leamington Spa on Sunday 9th October.  This will be from 3pm until 10pm and will feature a Mostly Autumn acoustic set, where there will be performances by individual members, as well as the full band. This was received extremely well last year at the same venue – who knew Alex could play the guitar and sing?

We also have the absolutely amazing Papillon (Anna Phoebe and Nicolas Rizzi) – they captivate us every time we hear them, as I’m sure all of you who have seen them will agree.

Mostly Autumn will play two sets, the first being a set of songs which have inspired the band members – guaranteed some Pink Floyd and who knows what else!!! The second, a set of their own music in their own inimitable style, with Anna Phoebe as guest on a few numbers .

There will be an hour or so interval, during which there will be some time to say hello to the band.

Please join us for this festival of Mostly Autumn – back following the overwhelmingly positive feedback from last year.  We’re looking forward to seeing you.

CLEETHORPES ROCKS…..

Posted in News on August 15, 2016 by manewss

Thanks so much to Dave Roberts and his team for making the Cambridge Rock Festival amazing, as usual. We had a fantastic time, not just playing on Sunday but meeting up with a lot of friends (and watching some too).  The music was great all weekend and the weather specially ordered – sunshine all the way..

Hope it’ll be as good for next weekend’s Cleethorpes Rocks – we’re playing on Friday  around 7.30pm  – very much looking forward to it and seeing Wishbone Ash too!  Good weekend.
