MOSTLY AUTUMN CHRISTMAS PARTY SPECIAL

Tuesday 5th December 2017

Music by Mostly Autumn and a bit of Christmas jollity at The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, North York Moors YO62 7LQ

We’re so excited to be back at the Lion Inn again after the success of the 2016 Christmas party, it will be, as usual, an amazing night of Mostly Autumn and CHRISTMAS – It will also be an opportunity to socialise with the band in their favourite pub and spiritual home after the gig.

For those of you who don’t know, The Lion Inn is a remote 16th Century inn at the highest point of the North York Moors. It is a very special place for Bryan and the band and their close connection goes back many, many years. For more information visit the website at www.lionblakey.co.uk where you will also find links to the Blakey Music Facebook page.

The concert room is very intimate so tickets for Mostly Autumn are limited – Price – £20

Tickets are only available on a first-come-first-served basis by e mailing Paul at  info@lionblakey.co.uk  with details of how many tickets you require. Please title your email “Mostly Christmas” and Paul will get back to you with details of how to pay etc.

(Unfortunately we can’t sell tickets by phone so please don’t phone the Lion Inn)

Free camping in tents or camper vans (sorry, no caravans)

Thanks so much to Paul for bringing back Blakey music  which regularly hosts some great bands and is well worth looking into.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Greetings all, Bryan here, hope it’s been a glorious year so far for you. How time flies – I can’t believe Autumn is already sharing a glass with the summer – and I dooo wonder to myself….. does the summer weep in defeat of the oncoming September, exhausted and broken? who knows, I certainly don’t. Welcome the mist and mellow fruitfulness, icy days and sharp skies, fire, snow and stars, beer and wine and nostalgia that breweth invigorating songs that can no longer be ignored, provoking a distant sense of romance long gone but yet still to come…….
Anyway I’ll stop there, I do actually love the summer also.

As you probably know we are preparing for three very special shows in September , where we will be playing “Sight Of Day” in it’s entirely amongst other classic Mostly Autumn. Tackling  the big tunes like Native Spirit and Sight Of Day is a very exciting proposition, as well as a challenge, can’t wait to see how they evolve “live”. If you can get to any of these shows I know they will be very special.

Livvy and I would like to thank everyone for all the good will messages about little baby Autumn, she’s all good and healthy thanks. There are rare but occasional moments of glass shattering vocal pitches coming from her already, she may have her daddy’s voice methinks 🙂 but it’s incredible having her around, we love every second.

Anyway, hope to see you soon
Cheers

Bryan
